Shakti Lounge Concert Series

The Shakti Lounge experience provides the musicians with space to open their skills with no bar-room competition, and the community with a comfortable environment to hear innovative music. Shakti creates a salon-like setting offering guests the unique freedom to recline on its
heated floor with cushions or take a seat in a chair. All are welcome.

The series features a diverse group of artists performing jazz, folk, classical, and world music.
The musicians are mainly local to Buffalo.  Walter Kemp 3 opens the series on Saturday, November 9th. Grounded by the roots of
swinging, soulful syncopation, bandleader Walter Kemp 3 (piano, Rhodes, and Viscount organ) and the ensemble deliver an intense trip into sound-space-time. The group features Alec Dube on vibes, Dave Phillips on drums, and Ben Levitt on bass. This performance will be Shakti’s
series kickoff party, complimentary refreshments will be available.
