The Nasty Flyers are a Phish tribute band from Rochester, New York, dedicated to capturing the intricate essence of Phish’s music. With a deep commitment to mastering the complex arrangements and improvisational spirit that define Phish, the band recreates the energy and spontaneity that make Phish’s live performances legendary. Each show is a unique journey, immersing both the band and audience in the moment, as they explore new musical dimensions.

Featuring a talented lineup of musicians, Miles McHugh (guitar, vocals) and Lou Chitty (keyboards, vocals) are veterans of the Dead tribute band Into the Now, while drummer Tommy Mintel comes from the neo-soul/funk group Helium Bubble. Chris Meeker (bass, vocals), formerly of the Genesis tribute band The Waiting Room and Yes tribute Going for the One, joins Miles and Lou in the original band Moving Mountains. Together, they combine their diverse backgrounds to offer fresh interpretations while honoring Phish’s sound, appealing to both longtime fans and newcomers.

For this special performance, The Nasty Flyers are embarking on an entirely new musical adventure drawing from Phish’s extensive catalog to craft a live soundtrack for the classic Cohen Brothers film, “The Big Lebowski.” This bold, genre-blending experience merges Phish’s free-flowing, improvisational style with the quirky, offbeat world of the film, creating an unforgettable fusion of sight and sound.

Imagine Phish’s complex arrangements and energetic jams underscoring the wild escapades of The Dude, offering a fresh perspective on both the movie and the music. Whether you’re a die-hard Phish fan, a film buff, or simply looking for something new and exciting, this performance is a one-of-a-kind experience that transcends typical tribute shows.

With its mix of iconic music and cult-classic cinema, this event promises to be a captivating, multi-sensory journey that’s sure to entertain and intrigue. The Caz abides OK, dude?
