Bali Comes to Buffalo

Nusantara Arts is thrilled to bring back Bali Comes to Buffalo-& a music and dance performance celebrating Buffalo’s Balinese culture and community.

Nusantara Arts invites audiences to explore this enrapturing series of Balinese compositions, showcasing both historical and modern styles of gamelan music. The Performance will feature “Pendet” a classic “welcoming dance” from the village of Pliatan near Ubud, “Unduk”: a historical composition from a temple in Kamasan village Bali that almost became extinct 100 years ago because of the Dutch invasion, and a new composition by our esteemed guest artist Gusti Komin which is a preview of a major theatrical work Nusantara Arts will undertake in 2025.
