The Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor is a nationally and internationally recognized Buffalo neighborhood that serves as the focal point of residents’ and visitors’ experience for learning about Buffalo’s rich African American history.
Gather your family and friends and embark on an amazing journey through the past and visit one of the stops on the Underground Railroad, then enjoy some jazz history, or learn about those who shaped the abolitionist and civil rights movements.
Contact any or all of the anchor properties to inquire about their tours by appointment: The Nash House Museum, The Colored Musicians Club, Michigan Street Baptist Church, and the Underground Railroad at Broderick Park. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.
