Visit WebsiteExplore & More & The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children’s Museum, in partnership with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, invites the community to join them on Sunday, November 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for the first-ever Cultural Connections Day. This is an exciting new event at the museum where visitors can discover the many ways to engage with local arts and cultural organizations.
Guests will be welcomed by a lineup of community vendors committed to supporting Western New York as active participants in the Arts Access program. Each organization will showcase the programs and resources they will offer for children and families throughout the 2024-2025 winter season.
Eligible visitors can also register for an Arts Access pass. Arts Access is a program that opens the door to arts and culture for all Western New Yorkers by connecting them to free and low-cost cultural opportunities in their communities. More than 50 local theatres, galleries, and other arts and cultural institutions participate in Arts Access and offer low-income individuals and their families of Erie and Niagara Counties the chance to see, experience, and participate in live shows and events by providing free and/or discounted tickets.
Western New York cultural institutions that participate in Arts Access and will be at the museum on November 24 include:
The Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site
WildWood Western New York
Theatre of Youth
Chinese Club of Western New York
Shea’s Performing Arts Center
Herschell Carousel Factory Museum
