A city landmark, and a State and National Historic Site, the outstanding feature of this stunning Gothic Revival church is its magnificent treasure of opalescent glass. The five chancel windows, all dealing with events in Christ’s life, surround the main altar and are the work of John LaFarge.

In the Memorial Chapel is “The Sealing of the Twelve Tribes of Israel,” possibly the finest work by LaFarge and one for which he received the Legion of Honor award at the Paris Exposition of 1889. On both sides of the nave are works by Tiffany Studios, as well as additional works by LaFarge.

Trinity is unique in that it has masterpieces of both of these artists who brought about an artistic and technical revolution in the art of stained glass making.

The worshiping congregation is open and affirming, striving to offer as broad and as inclusive a range of worship as possible. For those who want to have a wedding ceremony, rehearsal dinner or reception in the building, Trinity does not require you to be members of the congregation, or our faith tradition. We welcome all.
