University at Buffalo – Alumni Arena – Ed Wright Practice Facility

UB’s state of the art practice facility was named in honor of Edward Wright who has served UB for over 40 years as a coach, administrator and teaching professional. Wright’s name will grace the entrance to the recently renovated practice facility in Alumni Arena. The facility was renovated in the summer of 2009 and received another upgrade in the summer of 2019 when the floor was resurfaced and redesigned with an updated “Bull head” logo at center court, new padding was added to the exterior walls as well as the addition of several banners along the back wall. It is now a state-of-the-art practice facility for UB’s athletic programs, including basketball and volleyball. It is also used by recreation and intramurals as well as class instruction.
